Notification Preferences

Notification preferences control how and when you receive updates about activity in Clasp. You can configure notifications separately for each channel—in-app and email—and manage them at two levels: account-wide and per-organization.

Notification levels

Clasp notifications operate at two levels:

Account-wide preferences apply across all organizations you belong to. These include Security Updates, which notify you about product and account security announcements affecting your entire account.

Per-organization preferences apply only within a specific workspace. These cover activity related to cases, documents, calendar, and messages belonging to that organization.

Notification channels

Each notification category can be delivered through two channels:

In-app notifications appear while you are using Clasp in the web browser. Enable or disable this channel from Settings > Account > Notifications > In-app.

Email notifications are sent to your account email address. Enable or disable this channel from Settings > Account > Notifications > Email.

Notification categories

Per-organization notification preferences are organized into categories:

Messages — Notifications for messages you receive, including team messages and client messages.

Calendar Events — Notifications when a new event is created in one of your cases.

New Document Uploaded — Notifications when a new document is uploaded in one of your cases.

Timeline Snapshots — A weekly summary of activity in your cases, delivered as an in-app notification or weekly email depending on your channel preference.

Signatures — Notifications when a new document requires your signature.

Account-wide notifications include:

Security Updates — Product and account security announcements. These apply to your account across all organizations.

Enabling and disabling notifications

Each channel (In-app and Email) has a master toggle at the top of its settings page. Turn off the master toggle to disable all notifications for that channel.

Below the master toggle, each notification category can be enabled or disabled independently. This lets you receive calendar reminders via email while keeping document uploads silent, for example.

Changes to notification preferences take effect immediately.

Push notifications and device tokens

Clasp supports push notifications through device token registration. When you log in from a mobile app or other device, Clasp can register that device to receive push notifications.

Device tokens are associated with your account and can be registered for multiple platforms: web, iOS, and Android. Each device stores its own token, allowing Clasp to route push notifications to the appropriate endpoint.

Push notifications follow the same per-organization preference model—in-app and email preferences determine which events generate push notifications to your registered devices.

Are notification preferences shared across organizations?

No. Per-organization preferences apply only within that workspace. Security Updates are the only account-wide notification that follows you across all organizations.

Will I still receive calendar reminders if I disable email notifications?

You can disable email notifications while keeping calendar reminders enabled, depending on your preference configuration. Calendar reminders can be delivered via in-app notifications even when email is turned off, and the opposite is similarly possible.

How do I stop receiving all notifications?

Turn off the master toggle for each channel—In-app and Email—on their respective settings pages. This disables all notifications for that channel while preserving your individual category preferences for when you re-enable it.
