Download a Signed Document
Once all signers have completed a signature request, you can download the final signed document as a PDF directly from Clasp. The downloaded file contains the fully executed agreement and a certificate of completion that records the signing event. Save this PDF to your case files or distribute it to the client as needed.
- Click Signatures in the sidebar to open the signature management page.
- Locate the document with a Completed status in the list. The status badge confirms that every signer has finished their portion.
- Click Download PDF in the action column next to the completed document.
- The signed PDF downloads to your computer’s default downloads folder. Open the file to verify all signatures and the attached certificate of completion.
Names in the signed PDF
The name beneath a signature matches the signing event in Document History. Clasp preserves a name already recorded for an event. If the recorded name is missing or only repeats the email address or its prefix, Clasp uses the linked workspace user's profile name when available, or the full email address otherwise.
Long names or email addresses beneath signatures end in "..." when needed to fit beside the UTC signing time. This shortening does not change the name in the history.
When a team member resends a signing link, the history identifies that team member, not the original request creator or the recipient.
Note: Completed PDFs include a certificate of completion showing each signer’s name, email address, timestamp, and IP address. This certificate is part of the executed document and verifies the authenticity of the signing.
Tip: You can also download a signed document from inside a case. Open the case, click the Signatures tab, find the completed document, and click Download PDF.
