Bulk actions for multiple files

Select multiple files in Clasp Drive to perform actions on several documents at once. Bulk actions help you move, download, or delete files efficiently without handling them one at a time.

Selecting multiple files

To select multiple files:

  • Click on a file to select it

  • Ctrl+click (Windows) or Cmd+click (Mac) to add files to your selection

  • Shift+click to select a range of consecutive files

  • Ctrl+A (Windows) or Cmd+A (Mac) to select all files in the current view

When files are selected, a selection bar appears showing the number of selected items and available bulk actions.

Bulk actions available

Download selected

Download multiple files at once:

  1. Select the files you want to download.

  2. Click Download selected in the selection bar.

  3. Your browser downloads a compressed (.zip) file containing all selected documents.

Delete selected

Remove multiple files at once:

  1. Select the files you want to delete.

  2. Click Delete selected in the selection bar.

  3. Confirm the deletion.

Deleted files move to Trash where they can be restored within 30 days.

Move selected

Move multiple files to a different drive or folder:

  1. Select the files you want to move.

  2. Drag the selection to the destination in the sidebar, or use the move action.

  3. Confirm the move.

Clear selection

To deselect all files and exit bulk mode, click Clear selection in the selection bar or click on empty space in the file list.

Bulk actions and permissions

You can only perform bulk actions on files you have permission to modify:

  • My Drive — All files you own

  • Firm Drive — All files, unless restricted by firm policy

  • Cases — Only files in cases where you're the lead attorney or a subscriber

Unsupported bulk actions

Some actions cannot be performed in bulk:

  • Sharing — Each file must be shared individually to set specific permissions

  • Renaming — Files must be renamed one at a time
