Case health changes when a task due date or at-risk period changes, or when a new task is added to the case. If you manually set the health, it will not update automatically from task health.
Case health (On Track, At Risk, Off Track)
Case health is a status indicator on each case that shows whether the case is on schedule, approaching a deadline, or past a deadline. It is calculated automatically from the tasks on that case, and it appears in the case details and in the Cases list.
How health is calculated
Each active task on a case that has a due date and an at-risk period contributes to case health:
If today is past the due date, the task is Off Track.
If today is inside the at-risk period before the due date, the task is At Risk.
If today is before the at-risk period starts, the task is On Track.
Completed tasks, tasks without a due date, and tasks without an at-risk period do not contribute to case health.
After evaluating each task, the case rolls up to the worst result: Off Track outranks At Risk, which outranks On Track. This means a single overdue task will make the entire case Off Track, even if other tasks are on time.
Manual override
You can set a case health manually by clicking Change health in the case UI. Manually modifying the health of a case overrides automatic health rollups from case tasks. After that manual change, the case will keep that value instead of updating from task health.
Health filtering
In the Cases list, use the Health filter chip to show only cases that are On Track, At Risk, or Off Track. This helps you focus on cases that need immediate attention.
Why did my case health change unexpectedly?
Is case health the same as case stage?
No. Case health is a schedule indicator based on task dates. Case stage is a workflow position on your practice area board. See Case Stages for details.
